recom ART serves the high-quality demands of the art market regarding a professional picture output and combines all necessary techniques under one roof. With our recom ART expert services we offer high quality digitisation, image editing, inkjet printing, digital and analog black & white and color laboratory, mounting, transportation, and project management.
We have been researching the durability of different material combinations since 2017 and we recognized the importance of documentation work during photographic productions in connection with their archiving, durability and reproducibility. With our offer STARTERS we would like to make it easier for you to access this otherwise cost-intensive area.
STARTERS is aimed at all artists who are interested in our image output and the possibility of documenting their photo productions and who initially do not wish to use parts of our recom ART expert services.
Our talented JUNIOR PRINTERS will support you during your production. To minimize the workload, you provide us with the necessary production details bundled with the image file. The file preparation and any file adjustments that arise in the output process must be carried out by yourself or can be done by our experts at cost.

** We digitise with a Durst Sigma, whose advantage is a photographic image reproduction. Unlike other scanners, the Durst Sigma has a light source that resembles a softbox. This allows halftones to be sampled more finely. As a matter of principle, we always digitise in the highest resolution possible depending on the negative or slide resolution.
FILE REQUIREMENTS | Please create the image files in the final image dimensions (if white border is wished, please include the desired margin) with 300 dpi as a TIF file and embeded ICC-profile ECI_RGB_V2. Attention: for laminations please add an additional 3 mm trim/bleed all around.

PRODUCTION DOCUMENTATION | You will receive the documentation with the invoice by e-mail.
ORDER FORM AND DATA UPLOAD | Please fill out the order form and upload it together with the image file via the following link: https://recom-art.wetransfer.com/. For digitisation orders, please fill out the digitisation order form and enclose it with the delivery of your negatives or slides. The data is provided exclusively via data upload on our FTP server. An order confirmation as an invoice will be sent by e-mail during our consulting hours.
